"You can do anything if you want it bad enough"

SOOOO... The diet itself is not as bad. It almost seems like as soon as you eat your eating again, every two hours i have to remember to eat . Which in time I'm sure it will become habit. At first I was only thinking about my favorite foods that I couldn't eat, now I am constantly in awe of what I can eat. There are certain snacks that you an have today I had beef jerky YUMMY it gets easier every day. What I also learned is that it is very nice to have a good support system, not to say my husband isn't... BUT my Nana had the opportunity to visit this weekend, who is also on the diet, and proved to be the very confidence boost I needed. She gave me helpful tips and advice and opened my eyes to what I could improve on, and needed to change. She helped me prepare my meals helping me make the dehydrated food actually really good! And set a good example as she made a braided dessert filled with cream cheese and peaches drenched with what looked to be delicious frosting poured on top, only to follow the spaghetti and homemade bread sticks. Which made me believe if she can make food THAT good, I mean come on its Nana food, and not eat any I can too! Just the sheer fact that she wanted me to succeed made it all the more important! She told me " You can do anything if you want it bad enough" which i do..... So here I go!

The MediFAST diet

Many of you might not have heard of the Medifast Diet. Well as i have discovered the name can mean one of two things. Either A. You loose weight FAST or B. you feel as if you're FASTing! I heard about the diet through my family who has been using it and lost a very significant amount of weight in a very short time. So i decided to try it. Lets just say I am weak. I have not broken off the diet (even when my husband tried to shove a reeses in my face) this includes no SODA! AHHHH!!! This has proven quite difficult because i live off of caffeine but honestly i i can do it anyone can lol The basic principles of this diet are low carbs high protein. Its a variety of prepacked dehydrated food that is tasteless to say the least. As I sit here i am drinking water and eating one of the S'mores crunch bars which i will admit are pretty good. The idea is eating many small meals, this morning instead of skipping breakfast i had the prepackaged oatmeal with a little added cinnamon then a couple hours later i had a dutch chocolate shake for lunch i had chili... (cat food? the jury is still out on that one) then i had the s'mores bar i am currently eating. You get one lean and green meal a day which could be a small piece of meat and a salad. Then at night you get a choice between a shake and their pudding. Which actually isn't bad either. This is still my first day, the book that comes with the food explains that you will feel more tired then usual because your body will have to adjust to functioning on lower calories, which is true. I will keep you posted on the results of this diet. My family members have lost 14 pounds in two weeks to 50 pounds in two months! so we will see!!!!

Is that a fat joke??

February 18th 2009 I had the joy of bringing a beautiful baby girl into the world. Along with that baby girl came not only some extra pounds, but late nights (or early mornings). Which inevitably led to the exciting world of the infomercial! (Dun dun dun...) I will be the first to admit they're kind of addicting, its one of those things you hate to see, but you can't take your eyes off of. The people made to advertise the exercise products you see are normally extremely slim, trim and toned. Personally I HATE exercise I am not one to pop on a treadmill and run until I lose my lunch, I actually rather enjoy lunch. I love carbs, sweets and junk food, but naturally hate the weight that comes with them. I mean come on were not in high school anymore, our bodies are totally different, and anything that will work with minimal effort...well I'll take two! I will be testing the popular products you see advertised to see which ones work and which ones don't, and posting my results and reviews on the products, because We all know in the back of our minds, or even maybe out loud, we have wondered if the products actually work... is it really as easy as they make it look? is it really worth the 19.99 plus shipping and handling to have flat abs? Well I am making it my mission to find out!
